So my sister and I picked up salads and pizza, and then brought them back to my place to eat and watch American Idol. Yes, I love that show. I’m sorry. Actually, I’m not.

Anyhow, some initial thoughts about the contestants…

Ayla Brown – I don’t have a problem with silver spoons, but I can’t help but think she’s no better than most people and just happens to be well-trained. She’s a tall chick who plays basketball though—I like that.

Becky O’Donohue – Is she really a 10 visually? She’s somewhat attractive, I suppose. Not a bad singer. She played Division 1 basketball in college—I like that.

Brenna Gethers – Skank.

Heather Cox – Seems like a nice girl...

Katharine McPhee – I think she has it all. She’s talented, beautiful, and a little goofy. I’m rooting for her.

Kellie Pickler – It’s true that she has the Likeability factor. Not a bad singer, but not great either.

Kinnik Sky – Pretty good singer, classy demeanor.

Lisa Tucker – Damn, that girl can sang.

Mandis – I love her. She’s talented and has a great personality.

Melissa McGhee – You might disagree, but I happen to really like her voice. It’s sultry. I didn’t expect her to sound like that, and I was pleasantly surprised.

Paris Bennett – Holy shit. Unbelievable. And how cute is she? I’m rooting for her too.

Stevie Scott – Why does she do that scrunchy thing with her mouth?

Ace Young – Yes, I’m on the “Ace is hot” bandwagon. I’m a little ashamed, but I can’t help it. His performance was good too; love the song choice.

Bobby Bennett – Seems like a nice guy. Reminds me of a boxy cartoon version on Tim Curry.

Bucky Covington – Say what you will about his teeth (I happen to hate bad teeth too), but I really like his voice. He’d be a good addition to Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Chris Daughtry – Love his voice. Seems like a good guy. Hot too.

David Radford – I didn’t think he was as bad as everyone else seems to think. He’s young, and his performance was cute.

Elliot Yamin – Very nice voice. Reminded me not to judge people’s potential by their exteriors.

Gedeon McKenney – Very good showman.

Jose “Sway” Penala – I think he probably has a decent voice. He hit some nice notes, but the rest was pretty bad.

Kevin Covais – He reminds me of someone. I can’t help but laugh when I see him.

Patrick Hall – Not bad. Not unforgettable.

Taylor Hicks – LOVE him. He rules.

Will Makar – Young guy, performance was cute enough.
